Anyone ever feel like their makeup needs a little pick me up half way through the day?! I don’t know about you, but after chasing my toddler around all day at the beach or park and sweating thanks to the summer heat, by late afternoon my skin always seems to want a little refreshing. I used to find myself contemplating if I should just wash my face by 5:00 and go bare or reapply if I had something important to do…I never feel like layering more makeup on…that usually just makes my skin feel worse…

So, I am super happy that I found these two products. Seriously two of my favs for refreshing my skin and makeup throughout the day.

The first is Beautycounter’s Nourishing Rosewater Mist. I LOVE this stuff. I use a few spritzes on my face, and it wakes my complexion right up. It’s made with organic rose essence, purified water, and moisturizing sodium hyaluronate. It smells amazing. It’s scented with Organic Rosewater instead of synthetic fragrances, which can contain phthalates that interfere with your body’s endocrine system. You cannot only use this as a pick me up throughout the day, you can also use it as a toner (spritz on after you wash your face and before applying your moisturizer) and you can use it to set your makeup after applying. Love it!

The second is Beautycounter’s Mattify Skin Finishing Powder. After I have spritzed a little Rosewater spray on my face and let it soak in and dry, I will sweep a little of this mattifying powder on my face. My make up instantly looks brand new. It’s super lightweight and translucent, so it blends in perfectly with any skin tone. It also absorbs shine, and reduces the appearance of pores and fine lines (win win)! You can also use it to help set your makeup in the morning.
