If you know me, you know I’ve spent a lot of time learning how to make my life healthier and how much I enjoy sharing that knowledge with others.

When I started my health and wellness journey, I learned so much about the importance of eating clean and staying away from foods with a lot of artificial ingredients, processed foods, etc. I became careful about what I was putting IN my body, but that left me wondering about what I was putting ON my body.

Did you know that right now in the U.S., it is completely legal for companies to use toxic chemicals in the products that we put on our bodies every day – even if the ingredients are known to cause cancer or other health-related issues?? I started doing my research…I downloaded the Healthy Living app which you can also go to online at the Environmental Working Group and looked up products I was using everyday…face wash, body lotion, make-up, my son’s shampoo, lotion, ect. And let me tell you – I was HORRIFIED at what I found…even products that are labeled “natural” and “organic” have some scary ingredients – which is perfectly allowable due to the lack of regulations in the industry. I couldn’t in my right mind continue to use these products on myself (especially with being pregnant) or on the rest of my family!

So I’ve taken my family’s health into my own hands. I have joined forces with Beautycounter, a disruptive beauty brand, to share their mission of getting safe products into the hands of everyone. Beautycounter formulates and manufactures safe, high-performing products without using toxic ingredients linked to human health issues. And guess what? Their products perform beautifully. (I am super picky about my beauty products, so for me to say that is a big deal)!!
